Global warming is threatening the growth of coffee, especially in Uganda which is the second largest producer of coffee after Ethiopia. If no radical measures are taken to cutback on carbon emissions, the earth’s temperature can shoot up by between 1.4 to 4 degrees Celsius over the next few decades, says a recent report from the UN Panel on Climatic Change.
Just a 2.5 degree spike in Uganda’s temperatures could entirely wiped out the coffee industry in the next few decades.
I’m taking the day off to sit at home and reflect on my life, and I am happy to say that all my dreams are coming true:
I’ve been married to my best friend for the past 7.5 years, and it still feels like we’re on our honeymoon;
I am surrounded by a loving family, who is behind me on every decision I make;
I have precious true friends who are there for me through thick and thin;
I have great health; a healthy sense of humor and I’ve finally managed to adapt an exercise routine and to enjoy it.
I truly feel like a work of art in progress: never quite there, yet exactly where I need to be.
And as I reflect on my life, I was looking for inspiration on the web – something that will make others feel as good as I do every day, something that will bring them back the hope and take away their fears; Something that will inspire them to ACT on the way they feel.
